Visitors are permitted during the seventh week of training on Wednesday and Thursday ONLY. Per Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Installation Security Plan, each trainee may request base passes be issued to 6 adults age 18 and older. Those 17 and younger do not need a pass but must stay with a pass or DoD ID holding adult. Those with DoD ID cards are not issued a base pass and are not counted in the 6 invited guests being issued passes.  The following schedule is subject to change during holiday weeks. Contact the BMT Reception Center at (210) 671-3024.

  • NOTE: All BMT graduation ceremonies are held outdoors; therefore, visiting family members are urged to use caution/judgment while attending outdoor events and should prepare (i.e. dress appropriately, drinking plenty of fluids, use of sunscreen, etc...) to withstand varying temperatures (including extreme heat/cold/winds) if attending outdoor ceremonies.
  • Additionally, your Airman may experience delays in training due to unforeseen circumstances. When making travel arrangements, suggest you purchase refundable/transferable tickets.
  • Service Dogs: Make no bones about it ... we love dogs here at the 37th Training Wing. In fact, we are home to hundreds of dogs at the Department of Defense Military Working Dog school. However, for the safety of all those attending graduation, only service dogs that are trained to work or perform a task for persons with disabilities are allowed in the Airman's Arena (PRC) and the parade fields during graduation. Additionally, comfort and/or emotional support animals are not recognized by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as a service animal, therefore, they are not allowed at the events.
